NEWS 2006 Helsinki 10th of December 2006 - Finnish Winner show Last show for the year 2006...30 pharaohhounds in the ring to be judged by Espen Engh. There was 16 bitches and 5 in champion bitches. Weera went second in champion class and BB-3 at the end. Jazz,( Norhtgate´s Burning Sky) Weera´s and Plupp´s son was BOB puppy with a wonderful critigue. The showyear 2006 is over and now it is time to focus on Christmas and relaxing. Weera went BB-1 ( out of total 6 bitches) and BOS judged by Christian Vantu. Jazz, Weera´s and Plupp´s son made his debut in official shows by winning BOB-puppy. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 14th of October 2006 - Lure coursing weekend for Weera Running is THE THING for Weera, especially lure coursing. So off we went to a lure coursing race in Hailuoto, which is a small island in front of our hometown Oulu. 5 pharaohhounds were running and after the first round Weera was in the lead with 245 points. In the finals weera run worth 237 points and came third at the end with total points 482 points. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 7th of October 2006 - International all breed dogshow in Oulu My hometowns annual dogshow was held today and Weera was representing our ph family. Total of 8 ph´s were in the ring and Weera went BB-1 out of 5 bitches. At the end she was BOS judged by Zafra Sirik, Israel. After the show Weera´s son, Jazz, came to visit us. It was so wonderful to see this little man and Merit was happier than ever to see her brother. ----------------------------------------------------------------- 2nd of October 2006 - `Big Red` Noora 11 years! Happy Birthday to my Beautiful Big Red a.k.a Noora! 11 years go was born a dog that means more than anything to me, My Noora. Thank you Noora for all those wonderful moments we have had together. My Wise Grand old lady.Let´s celebrate today, light of my life! -------------------------------------------------------------- 30th of September 2006 - Showdebut´s of Merit&Jazz Weera´s kids did their showdebut this Saturday. Jazz was shown in Hyvinkää puppyshow and he went Best of breed puppy and in the groupfinals he went BIG-4! Congratulations:) On the other side of Finland in Ruukki puppyshow Merit went also Best of breed puppy and although she misbehaved a bit in the groupfinals in the movement ( that is she jumped up and down like maniac!) she was placed BIG-3 at the end! Weera is so very proud of both of her kids. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ 10th of September 2006 -Porvoo all breed show 8 pharaohhounds ( 3 males, 5 bitches) were in Porvoo all breed show to be judged by Marjatta Pylvänäinen - Suorsa from Finland.Weera won the championclass and went BOS at the end. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4th of September 2006 show in Helsinki Hanna took off to Helsinki with Olivia the whirlwind ( italiangreyhound) and my Weera. On Sunday there was 12 ph´s in the ring. Since I wasn´t there Weera was shown by Anna, Weera´s breeder.I had to stay in Oulu because of work... Weera´s brother Faouziah´s Cesario went BOB and Weera herself was BOS! Thank you Hanna for taking Weera to Helsinki, thank you Anna for showing her in the ring and congratulations to Bobbo and Lisa for the breedwin and also for fine placement in the groupfinals! Best of opposite sex ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 26th of August 2006 Hämeenlinna international show On Saturday in Hämeenlinna there was 13 pharaohhounds in the ring. Jugde for pharaohs was Mr Rudi Brandt from Denmark. Weera ( Faouziahs Crown Jewel of the North) went BOB with again wonderful critigue. " High quality bitch.Beautiful head & expression. Correct bite. Excellent earset. Beautiful neck and topline. Excellent tailset. Beautiful condi- tion and coat. Excellent bone and feet. Excellent movement, but slightly close in rear." We didn´t stay for the groupfinals since we had to be back in Oulu in time and this meant that we had to travel 6 hours in train... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19th of August 2006 Kouvola all breed show & Lure coursing on Sunday Weera, me, Hanna and Wendy took off early on Saturday morning for a show and lure coursing tournee. First it was time for the dogshow. There was 7 pharaohhounds in the ring to be judged by Petru Muntean from Romania. Weera won the champion class and bitches ending up as Best of breed at the end with a wonderful critigue. " 3 years old. Excellent bitch. Good type. Elegant. Good head with excellent expression. Correct bite. Excellent bodystructure. Excellent angulations. Good coat, pigmentation and movement." On Saturday evening after 200 kilometres drive we arrived to Jyväskylä and had a nice evening relaxing after a hot and exhausting showday. Early on Sunday morning it was time for our dogs to catch the bunny;) There was 13 pharaohhounds entered on the race, 7 males and 6 bitches. On the first round Weera ran 241 points and later on the afternoon she ran worth 239 points ending up with total points 480 as fourth in the race. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 6th of August 2006 - Weekend in Kuopio 3 shows in a row in Kuopio, well I can say that it was enough of shows for one weekend! The weekend was very hot and sunny and it wasn´t a pleasure to stand there under the hot sun - not for us humans or the dogs. Anyway, on saturday Weera was BOS ( jugde Mario Spavin) and on Sunday she was BB-3 judged by Annukka Paloheimo from Finland. In short: hot and exchausting but a fun weekend! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 18th of June 2006 This weekend it was time for lure coursing competition in Kajaani. It was really hot day in Kajaani and the track was maximum length, so todays results are really earned so to speak... Weera took her first lure coursing win with fantastic points( 504 points). She also got her first lure coursing CC from this competition. The bunny was fast and agile, again...but the ph´s did their best to catch it;) Thank you Hanna and Elina for company - we had a hot but a fun day, didn´t we.. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 10-11th of June 2006 First shows for Weera after the puppies, which are 9 weeks now... so it was really intresting to see how she would do in the rings.... And the showweekend was a success! In European Winnershow Weera won the championclass and got a res-cacib and Pappa Plupp ( Farao Anubis Ikaros) won the breed! On Sunday it was time for annual Finnish Pharaohhound Speciality. 54 dogs was entered and the judge was Mr. Grant Carter from UK. Weera won the champion class ( 8 bitches) and was BB-3 at the end of the day! She also won Best in show movements competion! The day was sunny and warm and the results were more than pleasing:) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- April 6th 2006 Weera gave birth to two beautiful puppies 6th of April 2006. Baby Boy, Baby Girl and the mother are all doing fine and Weera is nursing her little ones with deep love in her eyes.. Photos of the newborn on puppies page. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- March 31st 2006 Weera ( Faouziah´s Crown Jewel of the North) was placed second at the annual Top winning ph competition in Finland 2005. She lost only 8 points to the winner. Weera´s showresults 2005 includes 7 BOB wins with a groupwin, Best in Show-2 placement and BIG-4 and BIG-2 placement in all breed shows. I´m proud of you Little One:) Again it was a pleasure to show you and be with you in the ring, my Wild Child... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- February 12th-13rd 2006 Just got the news from Hanna and I´m happy to announce that Weera is Top Winning Sighthound number 12 year 2005 in Finland! Not bad at all since the competition in Sighthounds is really tough. Way to go Weera! More news...this time from Sweden. Weera´s breeder announced me that with only 2 shows in Sweden Weera managed to be in the list of Swedens Top Winning ph bitch, placing herself as 9th! Year 2005 Weera was shown in Sweden twice in Tammsvik - in official show and the unofficial breedspeciality for pharaohhounds.
