NEWS 2007 8th of December, Finnish Winnershow & 16th of December - Nordic winner show In Finnish Winnershow Weera went second in championclass, bb-2 in best bitch ring. Judges comments about Weera: "Beautiful, well build bitch. Excellent groundcovering movements." Jugde for pharaohs was Mr. Rainer Vuorinen from Finland In Nordic Winnershow in Stockholm there was 8 champion bitches in Weera´s class. Again Weera second. This time Weera run with her flying, beautiful steps as bb-4. This show ended our show year 2007. At the end Weera got 7 BOB wins and 2 BOS wins.Weera got also 3 groupplacements during the year 2007, 2 x BIG-3 and once BIG-4. Merit on the other hand got 1 BOB and 3 BOS wins with 7 CC`s. And a groupplacement in Rovaniemi where she was BIG-4. Wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18th of November 2007 - Jyväskylä international, third biggest dogshow in Finland Early sunday morning me, Maarit and Susanna took off to Jyväskylä. There was 10 pharaohhounds in the ring, 9 adults and 1 female puppy. Merit didn´t know how to keep the happiness inside of her and it came out as ruined movements;) Well, she is still young and she has got time to settle down. And I do hope she does - someday;) Weera on the other hand won her class, won the bitches and ended up as Best of breed by Andrew Beare from Ireland. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20th of October - Seinäjoki international. Merit suprises me again... This Saturday me and Weera & Merit took off with Maarit and Wallu to participate in a dogshow in Seinäjoki. With tears in my heart I went to ring, since in this very same show my Noora ended her career in 2005... Merit suprised me again by winning her mother (Weera)! Merit left 3 champion bitches behind her and was best bitch number 1 and ended up as BOS with her second cacib and 7th CC. Pharaoh named Noora Today ended a period of my life. A period that had so much good and beauty. Today I had to let go and say goodbye to the dog of my life. To my Big Red Noora - a pharaoh hound with a capital P! Let´s keep the legacy of Noora alive, friends. For the sake of the love that Noora gave to us. Both of Weera´s kids did great - Jazz being BOB with a CC and cacib and Merit right behind him as BOS also with CC and cacib. Weera herself wasn´t entered to this show. This was the first show for Merit where she could take the cacib and she got it! Happy birthday sweetest Noora! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 23rd of September 2007 - Merit goes Best in Show in Unofficial matchshow Merit and I participated today in an unofficial " matchshow" organized by our local Sighthound Club. The main reason was to train Merit how to behave in the ring. Merit went all the way to a Best in Show win! Good practise for our wild child and I´m so proud of her for behaving so well! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 14th of September 2007 After ultrasound we are 100 % sure that Weera is not having puppies this year. The combination Weera - Mörkö will be done again from Weera´s next season. I had entered both Merit and Weera for this show to be judged by Unto Timonen from Finland. Weera went bb-2 and Merit bb-3 with a CC. Weera´s and Plupp´s son, Jazz was BOS also with a CC. On Sunday it was time for Heinola show. There was 4 pharaohs in the ring and the judge was Elina Tan-Hietalahti from Finland. I had only Weera entered for this show, Merit was resting. Weera went BOB and in the finals she was BIG-3 by Miklos Levente. This was Weera´s last show before the maternity leave and it felt really nice that she left the rings with a BOB win and a groupplacement. Weera was BOS this time and Wallu went BOB and BOB-veteran. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 28th & 29th of July 2007 - Showtrip to southern Finland Me and Maarit ( and the ph´s Weera & Wallu) took off for a showtrip to southern Finland this weekend. First it was an international show in Pori, where there was 4 pharaohs entered to Leanne Coffey from Australia. Weera ended up as BOS while her fiance Mörkö was BOB. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 15th of July 2007 - Kokkola international 4 pharaohhounds were entered to Kokkola´s dogshow and me, Weera & Merit, Maarit & veteran Wallu took off early sunday morning for the show. Merit wasn´t entered to the breedring to this show, since she was showing only in juniorhandling with Aino. Weera went BOB under the judge Ligita Zake from Latvia. No groupplacement for Weera this time. And of course huge congratulations to Wallu & Maarit for another BOB veteran win! -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 8th of July 2007 - Finnish Pharaoh hound Speciality We had in our pharaoh hound speciality 11 + 20 dogs this year entered, not forgetting the puppies of course which we had 17! The judge of the show was Weera´s breeder, Anna Larsson, who I can thank for letting me have Weera in my life;) Merit was shown in juniorclass and she won the class, ended up as BB-3 in a big BB-ring and Best in show- junior. So little Merit started her Farkkushow career the same way as my Noora back in 1996 - BB-3 and BIS-junior. Jazz, Weera´s son was BOS-junior. Weera´s fiance, Northgate´s Ain´t A Saint ended up as Best male and BOS! Congratulations goes to Mörkö, owner Pia and breeder Hanna. It was very nice to see Anna and to be in her ring. We had a nice weekend and I must also thank Wallu and Maarit again for company.We had lots of laughing during the trip back home and almost 600 kilometres drive felt like nothing;) Merit´s critigue can be read in here and a photovideo of the show can be found in showpics. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 23rd of June 2007 - Midsummershow in Rovaniemi We celebrated midsummer today by taking part in Rovaniemi international dogshow. The day I knew someday would come, came today: Merit beat her mother in the breedring judged by Mrs. Säde Hohteri from Finland! In the groupfinals little Merit was BIG-4 by Mr Denis Kuzelj from Slovenia. Over 1000 kilometres drive in one day is nothing else but pure madness, don´t you think?;) But what can do, when you have to go, you have to go... There were 3 pharaohs in the ring in Hämeenlinna all breed show and the judge for pharaohs, Britt Schone Brodwall from Norway, chose Weera as BOB out of those three. Weera´s critigue was again pure joy to read: "...A champion bitch who deserves her title. Super movements from all sides.." This time we didn´t have placement in the groupfinals, but we don´t mind - we had fun anyway! -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 27th of May 2007 - Groupshow in Keminmaa Me & Merit and Maarit & Wallu drove today to Keminmaa to a groupshow in a very warm and sunny weather. Pharaohhounds were judged by Pekka Teini from Finland and there was 3 pharaohs in the ring. I had only Merit with me this time. Merit took her third CC today with a Best of Opposite sex win! More photos from the show here. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 12th of May 2007 - Dogshow in our hometown Our annual so called Mother´s day dogshow was held today in a cold and windy weather - - but at least we didn´t have to drive hundreds of kilometres this time, thank god;) There were 4 pharaoh hounds in the ring to be judged by Petru Muntean from Romania.And what a great day we had! Jazz took his sixth CC and BOS placement, Merit got her second CC with a BB-2 placement and my Crown Jewel, lovely Weera went BOB and in the finals she was group 3rd! Thank you Aino for the photos! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 29th of April 2007 -Showtrip to Lahti international Okay, there is 1000 kilometres drive behind us after the Lahti international dogshow and I can say, that at least I am really tired.I dont know about Hanna, but I bet she too is exhausted..;) There was total of 17 pharaoh hounds entered to the show and the results were wonderful! First Jazz, Weera´s son took the winning in males with a CC, then Merit took a classwin in juniorbitches and later Weera won the championclass. At the end of the day we had BOS with a CC ( Jazz), BB-4 with a res-CC (Merit) and BOB with a cacib ( weera) in our hands.The day was crowned by Weera´s BIG-4 placement at the finals. Her eyes were healthy also this time - no signs of PRA, RD or HC. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 15th of April 2007 - Showtrip to Vaasa international Early on Sunday morning me and Hanna packed Weera, Merit and Jazz + 2 italiangreyhounds to the car and took off. It was time for 300 kilometres drive (only!) and the head of our trip was Vaasa´s international dogshow. This was Weera´s second show for the year 2007 and also Merit´s first show in official classes ( and second show ever)! There was 8 ph´s in the ring, judge Marja Talvitie from Finland. Weera went BOB with a cacib and her son Jazz went BOS with a CC. Little Merit was BB-2 with a CC also and she suprised me totally by showing herself like a pro. Congratulations to Jazz for his third cc and hugs and kisses to Merit for her first one;) Special thanks to lovely Weera for being such an angel in the ring. I´m so proud of all of these three!
